Weekly Update - March 9, 2014

This week we added 34 hats, 8 scarves (including cowls and neck warmers) and 5 mittens to our totals!  We also collected 35 squares!

Current Projects:

Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless.

They need hats, scarves and mittens in ALL sizes - from newborn to adult man. There is no date for when they need them but the sooner we get them to her the better. They service elementary through high schools and also early intervention and have many children in need.

Note: Beth D will be delivering to the MA Coalition for the Homeless within the next few weeks so if anybody would like to send items in for them she would need it by March 14.

My Mothers House in Taunton

Hats in all sizes. Please visit our Donation Guidelines page if you have any questions about how your hat should be made.

Pattern Ideas

6" squares. They can be knit, crochet or loomed and made with any yarn or material.

Drawstring Bags. These can also be knit, crochet, loomed or made with fabric. They should be large enough to hold a small bar of soap, small toothpaste, alcohol wipes, personal size shampoo, bandaids, neosporin, and a comb and brush. Approx. 6"x6" will work but if larger that will be fine as well.

If your organization will need hats, scarves or mittens for the please send an email to BethsHatsForHope@gmail.com. We are taking requests and will do all we can to help.

If you are looking for a great project to be part of, please check the Needs/Wish List page and Current Projects page for more information or Contact Us.  You do NOT have to be part of the "group" to participate in this project.

Have a great week!
